Sri Jayam Exports

Sri Jayam Exports is located right opposite the Modi Steel Karamchari Gate. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there are always big trucks and lots of workers moving around. Our place is basically a warehouse and a small front office. We spend most of our time dealing with shipping and getting things ready to go out. It’s a lot of checking lists and making sure the labels are right. The noise from the steel gate area is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't a huge company with fancy meeting rooms. Most of our meetings happen standing up in the middle of the floor or over a quick cup of tea. We have to be careful with the timing of our shipments because the traffic around the gate can be a nightmare. There’s a lot of physical work involved in moving the export goods and making sure they are packed tight. We don’t have a dedicated marketing person or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just do the work and send the goods to where they need to go. Most of our contacts are people we’ve known for years. It’s a straightforward business, though it can be stressful when deadlines are tight. We just show up every day and keep things moving through the gate. It's a busy life but it's what we do and we keep at it.
