Our place is right out on the National Highway 8-A near Lakhdhirpur. If you know the Lakhdhirpur Road area, you know it is mostly industrial and there is a lot of dust from all the trucks. We deal with ceramics and tiles every day here. The warehouse gets quite hot in the summer but we are used to it by now. We spend most of our mornings checking the stock and seeing what needs to get loaded onto the trailers. It is a noisy spot because of the highway traffic but it makes it easy for the deliveries to get in and out. There are usually stacks of ceramic boxes piled up in the corners and we have to be careful moving them around. Most of the people working here have been with us for years and we just go about our business without much fuss. We get a lot of walk-ins from people building houses who just want to see the different patterns. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit of a mess but the work doesn't stop. We keep the office simple with just a few desks and some display racks for the latest tiles. It is a straightforward operation where we focus on getting the right boxes to the right people. We drink a lot of tea to keep going and usually close up once the sun starts to go down and the highway lights come on.
