Sonam Clock Pvt. Ltd.

Out here on the Morbi-Rajkot Highway at Lajai, things move at a bit of a different pace than in the city center. Sonam Clock Pvt. Ltd. is right where the road stretches out, and you can see the trucks passing by all day long. It gets a bit dusty with all that traffic, but we’ve got our spot settled in. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of clocks and people talking. Clocks are everywhere because that is what we do, day in and day out. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the weather gets really hot and nobody wants to be out on the highway. We’ve been at this location for a while, so we know the local shops and where to get a decent snack nearby. The building isn't anything you'd see in a magazine, just a practical space for a factory and office. We spend a lot of time checking things and making sure the hands on the clocks are moving right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it feels good to see everything finished at the end of the shift. The commute out to Lajai can be a bit long for some of the staff, but it’s a good landmark for people driving through. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work, watching the time go by literally. It is a steady life out here on the highway and we like the routine.
