Shyam Timbers

Shyam Timbers is located on Gondal Road, just near Mansata Industries. We’ve been here for a while now, and the place hasn't changed much over the years. It’s mostly wood and sawdust around here, which is what you’d expect from a timber yard. People come in looking for specific cuts of wood for their homes or for bigger projects. Sometimes we have exactly what they need right there in the stack, and other times we have to wait for the next truck to arrive. The yard can get quite messy, especially when it rains and the ground gets soft. My father used to handle all the heavy lifting and the hard negotiations, but now it's just us running the daily operations. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Instead, we just have a simple desk and some old chairs where we sit down with customers to talk. It’s often loud because of the heavy traffic on Gondal Road, but you get used to it. Most of our neighbors are also doing industrial or manufacturing stuff, so there’s always the sound of machines or trucks in the background. You really get to know the smell of different types of fresh-cut timber after working here all day. We don’t do any advertising or marketing. Most people find us because they drive past or someone they know told them where to find us. It’s a plain, honest place where work happens every day.
