SHREE GELKRUPA INDUSTRIES

Our workshop is located at 6-Arti Society, right on Dhebar Road South in the Atika area. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always noise coming from the street or the other shops nearby. We started Shree Gelkrupa Industries because we needed a place to work on parts and get things made without much fuss. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with metal scraps and oil, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We have a few guys who have been here a long time and they know the machines inside out. Sometimes the heat in Rajkot gets to be a bit much, especially in May, but we just keep the fans going and stay on top of the orders. The building itself isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular industrial unit with a heavy metal door. Most of our day is spent measuring things, cutting, and making sure the dimensions are right before anything leaves the gate. We don't really do much advertising or fancy stuff, people just find us through word of mouth or by stopping by while they are in the neighborhood. Usually, I'm the one opening up the shutters early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. We drink a lot of tea from the stall down the road. It’s a simple life here, just focusing on the work at hand and making sure we get through the pile of jobs on the desk.
