Saurashtra Aasspass - Daily News Paper

We run things from a place called Om in Jivannagar. It is located on Raiya Road in Rajkot. Being a daily newspaper, our place is always a bit chaotic. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the smell of ink is pretty strong. We spend our days chasing down what is happening around town. It is not a glamorous job, despite what people think. There is a lot of sitting at old desks and typing away while the clock ticks down. We have to get the paper out every single day, so there is no time for being fancy. We are a local bunch and we care about what happens in our streets. Our office is not some high-tech media center. It is just a building with some old computers and a lot of dedicated people. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the late shifts. Jivannagar is a good spot for us because we are right in the middle of the action. We do not use big words or try to act like we are better than anyone else. We just report what we see and try to get the facts right. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we always try to fix them. It is hard work, but someone has to do it. That is just how it is at a local paper where everyone knows each other.
