Ms Live Stock Corporation

Ms Live Stock Corporation is located right at Shop No. H-25 inside the Marketing Yard. If you’ve ever been to the yard, you know how loud and chaotic it gets, especially in the early mornings. Our shop is just one of many, and it’s usually packed with people coming and going. We don’t have a quiet office or a waiting room. It’s just a counter, some chairs, and a lot of ledgers. We’ve been here for years, and we know almost everyone else in the yard by their first name. The smell of the market is something you just get used to after a week. We handle a lot of the paperwork for the livestock trades and make sure the logistics are moving. It’s not a clean job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We don’t have a website or any of those modern things; people just know where to find us. Sometimes we have to shout just to be heard over the noise outside. It’s a busy life, and we don’t get many breaks during the peak season. My nephew helps out with the lifting and moving, and he’s learning the trade slowly. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s honest work. We just take it one day at a time and hope for good market prices. That is about the long and short of it.
