Shreeji Bricks

If you go down Kalawad Road and look behind Cosmo Cinema, you will find Shreeji Bricks. We are tucked away back there, which actually works out well for the type of work we do. It is a bit dusty and there is always plenty of heavy lifting, but that is the brick business for you. We spend our days outside or in the shed, moving materials around and keeping the yard moving. Being behind Cosmo Cinema makes it easy to tell people exactly where we are, even if we are a little bit off the main road. The trucks come in and out all day long, so it can get quite loud and busy at times. We do not have a fancy office or any air conditioning; we are usually out where the actual work is happening. It is a gritty job, but someone has to do it. We have been on Kalawad Road for a good while and have seen how much the area has grown and changed around the cinema. We just stay focused on our piles of bricks and getting them out to the people who ordered them. There is not much time for sitting around or taking it easy. It is a lot of physical labor and making sure everything is sorted correctly. We are just a group of people working hard in a spot that suits us.
