J.M. Bricks

Out here in Makandsar Village, things move at a bit of a different pace. J.M. Bricks is located right in the heart of the village area in Tehsil Morbi. Being in this district means we are surrounded by a lot of similar work, but we just focus on what’s happening in our own yard. It’s a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up across the dry fields. We’ve got a group of workers who have been with us for years. They know the clay and the heat better than anyone else here. It’s hard work, physical work, and nobody complains much about the sweat. We just get on with it. Living and working in Makandsar Village means we know most of our neighbors. They stop by, sometimes for bricks, sometimes just to chat for a minute. We don’t have a website or a big marketing plan to show off. J.M. Bricks is just a name on a sign near the road. We make the bricks, we stack them, and we wait for the trucks to come pick them up. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to wait out the rain for a few days. That’s just how it goes in this business. We are proud of being part of the Morbi district. It’s where we belong. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a brick kiln in a village doing what needs to be done.
