Krishna Machine Tools

Krishna Machine Tools is over on Gondal Road, specifically at Plot No 86, Survey No 44. We are right near the Reliance Gram Samaj Wadivavdi in Rajkot. It’s a busy part of the city with a lot of transit. Our place is basically a big shed full of machine tools. We’ve got lathes, milling machines, and all sorts of hand tools scattered around. It’s a bit disorganized if you aren't used to it, but we know where everything is. My father started this years ago and we’ve just kept it going. There’s a small yard out back where we keep some of the larger castings and old machine parts that we might need someday. Rajkot is famous for this kind of work, so we have a lot of competition, but we just do our own thing. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between the machines. The floor is always a bit slippery with oil, so you have to watch your step. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people stopping by or calling us up. The air is always thick with the smell of cut metal. We take a break in the afternoon when the sun is highest. We have a small tea setup in the corner. It’s a simple life. We make tools, we sell them, and we go home to our families. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to do decent work for the people who come in.
