If you find yourself behind Bal Adalat on Gondal Road, you’ll probably see our sign. We handle machine tools and all the bits and pieces that go with them. It’s a bit dusty around here, but that is the nature of dealing with metal and machinery. We started out small and stayed that way, mostly because we like knowing who we are talking to. Every morning starts with opening the heavy shutters and checking what orders came in. People come by looking for a specific wrench or a lathe part, and we go digging through the shelves. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is. Gondal Road is always loud with trucks, so you get used to shouting over the engine noise. We’ve had some of the same customers for years. They come in, complain about the weather or the traffic, and then we get down to looking at tools. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the work is manual, checking the threads on a bolt or making sure a tool bit is sharp enough. It’s just us here, doing the daily grind and making sure the shop stays running. No big corporate stuff, just a lot of iron and steel and a bit of grease on the floor from time to time. You might have to wait a minute if we are in the middle of counting something, but we will get to you. It's just the way it works in a place like this. We don't mind the hard work.
