Eklakshya Farmers Producer Company

Eklakshya Farmers Producer Company is based out of Khambhalata village, which is over in the Paddhari area of Rajkot district. Ratilal Mulji has been kind enough to let us run things from his place. We are a group of farmers who decided it was better to combine our efforts. Farming around here has its ups and downs, depending on the rain and the market prices. By coming together as a producer company, we can handle the selling part a bit better. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s more like a group of neighbors trying to figure out the best way forward. We spend a lot of time sitting around talking about what crops are looking good and which ones are struggling. The office stuff is handled between chores on the farm. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we get through it eventually. We know the land in Rajkot well because we’ve lived here all our lives. It’s honest work, getting your hands dirty and hoping for a good yield. We don't have fancy titles or big meetings. Just regular people from the village trying to make a living. If someone needs help with their harvest, we try to step in. It’s about making sure everyone in the group gets a fair shake. We stay focused on the fields and the day-to-day tasks. That’s really all there is to it. We keep our tools in a small shed and meet up mostly when the sun goes down.
