Jitendra Lady Ware

You can find us at shop number 101 in the Dharam Complex, which is part of the Gundawadi area. It is unit number 2/15 if you are looking at the building map. Gundawadi is a very packed place with lots of shops selling all kinds of things for women. Our shop, Jitendra Lady Ware, is right in the middle of all that chaos. On Saturdays, you can hardly walk through the street because of the crowds and the scooters parked everywhere. Inside the complex, it is a bit cooler, but still quite busy. We have shelves lining every wall to keep the stock organized. I spend most of my day folding things back up after people look at them. My brother helps me with the accounts when he has time. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how much we buy at once or there’s no place to stand. The lights in the corridor of the complex flickered for a week before they finally fixed them. It’s a simple shop, nothing like the big malls you see in the city center. We know the regular customers who live in the apartments nearby. They usually stop by to chat even if they aren't buying anything today. We keep a small stool outside for when our legs get tired from standing. It’s just how we spend our days, surrounded by fabric and the noise of the market.
