We are located in Rajkot, over in Kiran Society, right opposite the Kothariya Main Road. Our office is actually part of the Akshar Classes building, at number 4. It’s a bit of a lively spot with students coming and going all the time. We do agro research and development, which sounds more complicated than it is. Mostly, we spend our time testing different seeds and looking at how crops react to various conditions. We aren't a big laboratory with white coats and expensive machines; we’re just a team of people who know a lot about plants and want to see them do better. The office is small and usually smells like coffee and old paperwork. Rajkot is a good place for this because we are surrounded by farming communities. We get a lot of visitors coming in with questions about their fields. Sometimes we don't have all the answers right away, so we have to go back and do more digging. It’s a slow process, research is like that. You can't force nature to hurry up. We have a few simple tools and a lot of notebooks where we keep our findings. We’ve been at this for a while and the local farmers know they can just drop by and have a chat with us. It’s a practical, everyday kind of job that we enjoy. We just keep studying what the soil and the plants tell us.
