You can find Rathod Trading Company right on K.K Road. Directly opposite the Gujrati School, our shop gets quite loud when the kids are coming and going. Constant foot traffic is normal here, being so close to Maudha Para Station. Watching the station get busier and the shops around us change owners, we’ve stayed in this spot for years. Our place stays pretty much the same. Various trade items that come in from the bigger hubs are what we deal in. Because of all the trucks passing by on the main road, the shop is usually a bit dusty. We don't mind it much. Shelves reach all the way to the ceiling in this practical space. Modern marketing tricks aren't something we go for. If we have it, we sell it, and if we don't, we tell you where you might find it. It’s just the work we do every day. On some days my brother helps out, while other times it’s just me. Most of the people who walk in are known to us by their first names. This neighborhood is just that kind of place. For people who aren't from around here, the Gujrati School is a good landmark. By keeping the front of the shop clear, we make sure people can actually get inside. Small as the operation is, we stay busy from morning till night. That’s how we like it. To keep things lively during the slow hours, we usually keep the radio on.
