Ashok Press

Ashok Press is right on Station Road. It is a noisy street because of the trains and the people always rushing back and forth to catch their rides. You can hear the engines if you listen, but usually, the sound of our printing presses covers everything else up. We have paper everywhere in here. There are reams of it, big stacks waiting to be used, and small scraps all over the floor. The smell of ink is very strong, but after a few days, you don't even notice it anymore. We have been on Station Road for a long time now. Some people just stop in to get a few pages printed, while others come for big bundles of work. We don't have a fancy front desk or anything like that. It is mostly just a counter and then the machines taking up all the room in the back. The tube lights flicker sometimes, but we just keep them going. We do the printing, the cutting, and the binding ourselves. It is a lot of manual work and our hands are usually stained with black or blue ink by the time lunch rolls around. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so we keep the big fans going all day. It is just a real local press. If you need something put on paper, you just come find us at the shop.
