Amit Hardware Store

Amit Hardware Store is tucked away near the old Prabhat Talkies. If you know that area in Ganj Para, you know it can get pretty crowded with people and scooters. We are right in Shri Ram Kunj Nemi Chand Gali Number 1. The shop is a bit small, and it's filled to the ceiling with all sorts of metal bits, tools, and heavy boxes. Most days, someone is sitting on a stool near the front, just watching the street. It’s a very old part of town, so the buildings are close together and the air usually smells a bit like damp stone and metal. We don't have a big fancy storefront or anything. It's just a simple place where we keep the inventory organized on wooden shelves that have been there for years. The floor is concrete and has some stains from old oil spills. People usually find us by asking around or because they’ve been coming here since they were younger. Gali Number 1 is quite narrow, so you have to be careful when walking through. We spend our mornings checking what came in and what needs to go out. There is a lot of clinking noise from the hammers and nails being moved around. It isn't a quiet place, but it is home to us. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss. If you see the tea stall, we are only a few steps away from there. The neighbors often drop in to chat while we work.
