Uttam Galava Steels Ltd, Mumbai

Even though the name says Mumbai, our branch for Uttam Galava Steels Ltd is actually located in Khopoli, over in the Raigad district. You can find us at Gagangiri Nagar, specifically in building B-2, flat 11. It’s a busy little spot where we manage a lot of the local steel logistics. Working out of a residential-style building means we have to be mindful of the other folks living in the complex. Our office is pretty simple, with just enough room for the desks and the files we need for the daily operations. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with drivers and checking the status of steel coils. The hills around Khopoli are beautiful, especially when it rains, but we’re usually stuck inside looking at spreadsheets. It’s a lot of routine work—checking orders, verifying weights, and making sure the billing is correct. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. If someone drops by, one of us just looks up from our desk to see what’s needed. It’s a down-to-earth kind of place. We value the fact that we can get things done without too much fuss. Most of us have been working with steel for years, so we know the industry inside and out. It’s just a regular office where we put in the hours and keep the business moving forward in this part of Maharashtra.
