You can find Anushree Metals right on the Main Road, near the Bhimashankar Post Office. We are very close to the Bhimashankar Mandir, so we hear the temple bells ringing throughout the day. It’s a busy spot, especially during festival times when the road is packed with pilgrims and tourists. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with various metal items and have been doing so for a long time. The post office is a good landmark, so people never have much trouble finding us. The front of the shop is usually open to the street, so it gets quite dusty, but that’s part of being on the Main Road. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and take our breaks. The noise from the traffic is constant, but you stop noticing it after a few hours. We know the postman and the temple staff quite well. It’s a friendly neighborhood despite the crowds. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning; we just rely on the ceiling fans and the breeze coming through the door. It’s a simple way of living and working. We focus on the daily tasks, checking what came in and what needs to go out. It’s honest work, and we like being so close to the temple—it gives the place a good energy.
