Flat Products Ltd.

Our place, Flat Products Ltd., is situated at A/84 in the Taloja MIDC area, specifically in blocks 2-3. Being out here in the Raigad district means we are surrounded by other factories and warehouses. It’s an industrial landscape through and through. We focus on making flat metal products, which means there is a lot of rolling and cutting going on throughout the day. The noise is something you just get used to after the first week. The commute out to Taloja can be long depending on where you're coming from, but once we’re here, there’s plenty to do. The warehouse is big and often drafty, but it fits all the heavy equipment we need. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there; we just want to make sure the sheets and plates we produce are what the customers asked for. The floor is usually marked up with chalk and paint from all the measuring we do. It’s a practical environment. No one wears a suit here. We’re mostly in overalls or heavy-duty shirts because the work is messy. We’ve been at this for a while, and we’ve seen the MIDC grow up around us. It’s a tough business, but we like the routine of it. We just open up the shutters every morning and start the machines up like always to get things moving.
