Samruddhi Agrofood Industries

Our place is located out in A.P. Manjari, which is part of the Rahuri tehsil. It’s mostly farmland and quiet roads around here. We work with food products, specifically stuff coming from the local farms. The shed isn't anything special to look at, but it’s where everything happens. We spend a lot of time checking the stocks and making sure the processing is moving along. Dealing with crops means we're always busy during the harvest season. It gets pretty hectic and we end up staying late under the dim lights. The rest of the year is a bit slower. We started this because we knew the area and the people. It’s not a corporate setup. It’s more about the routine of handling grains or whatever the season brings. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves on the spot. You learn a lot doing that. We know most of the drivers who come to pick up loads. We usually sit outside for a bit when the sun goes down and talk about the weather. It’s a decent life here in the village area. We don't have a lot of visitors from the city, which is fine by us. We just focus on the food and the local supply. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. There is always a stray dog or two hanging around the entrance, waiting for a scrap or some attention. We just do our thing every day.
