Ahm Agro Food

We operate Ahm Agro Food out of the Rahuri MIDC area in Ahmednagar. Our facility is at Plot No. A 8 & 9, right along the Shirdi Highway. Being near the highway is useful because the trucks can pull in and out without getting stuck in city traffic. We deal with agricultural products, mostly processing grains and pulses that come from the local farms nearby. It is a dusty environment with big machines running all day long. We have a few sheds where we store the raw produce before it gets sorted and packed. It is a lot of manual labor, hauling sacks and moving crates around. The sun gets very hot out here in the MIDC, so we start our shifts very early to get the bulk of the work done before noon. We don't have a fancy front office for visitors. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually find us on the floor checking the quality of the grain. It is a practical business. We are focused on getting the food items ready for the markets in the city. We don't do any flashy advertising. The farmers know us and the traders know us, and that is enough. Sometimes the harvest is good and we are working double shifts, and other times it is a bit slower. That is just the way agro-business works around here. We just try to keep the machines greased and the bags moving out the door. The highway traffic never seems to stop.
