Shaw Enterprise

We’ve been here at the Purulia Bus Stand for quite some time now. It’s always loud outside with the buses pulling in and out, but we’re used to it. Shaw Enterprise isn’t anything fancy. It’s just a place where we get our work done every day. Most of the people who come by are travelers looking for something quick or locals who have known us for years. My father used to handle things here before me, and not much has changed in terms of the building. We have some old shelves and a desk that’s seen better days. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we spend a lot of time just wiping things down. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months when the sun hits the front of the shop. We just keep the fan going and wait for the evening rush. It’s a busy spot because everyone passes through the bus stand eventually. We see a lot of different faces, from students going to school to older folks heading to the market. We don’t really do much advertising. People just know we are here. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a bit cluttered with boxes and supplies. That is just how it is when you’re right in the middle of everything. It’s a decent life, and we like being part of the noise and the movement here.
