Samikshya

If you look for us, Samikshya is located inside the Hotel Sunrow Cottage Complex. We are on the ground floor, specifically in Shop No 03. It’s a bit of a walk down Chakratirtha Road, and we are right in the Baniasahi area. The Sonargurang Temple is quite close, so we hear the bells and the morning prayers sometimes if it’s quiet enough. The shop itself is tucked away a bit, which is nice because it stays a little cooler than being right on the main street. We’ve been in this specific unit for some time, and it’s filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. It isn’t a very big space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. Most of our neighbors are other small businesses or people staying at the cottages. We see a lot of tourists wandering around looking for the temple or heading towards the beach. Since we are on the ground floor, it's easy for people to just poke their heads in and say hello. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just us working out of this small room in Puri. We usually open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when the shop gets too cramped or the humidity gets high. It’s a decent place to work, and we like being part of this little community near the temple.
