Our shop is tucked away in Labhubha Nagar, over in Alandi Devachi. It is a quiet enough area most days, except when there are local events. I have books piled up on the wooden shelves and gift items scattered around the middle tables. It started with just a few things but now the space feels quite full. Some of the book covers have faded a bit from the sun coming through the front window. I do not mind it. It gives the place a lived-in feel. People stop by after visiting the nearby temples or when they need a quick present for a neighbor. I spend my mornings dusting the shelves and making sure the new arrivals are visible. It is a small operation. I run it myself mostly. Sometimes the ceiling fan squeaks a little, but it keeps the air moving. I like talking to the regulars who come in just to see what came in this week. We have religious books, some school stuff, and those colorful gift boxes everyone likes. It is easy to find us if you are walking through Labhubha Nagar. The shop isn’t very big, but I try to keep a bit of everything. It feels like home to me after all these years. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on the counter while I wait for the next person to walk in. We stay open until late in the evening most days.
