Bhawani Peth is a real hub for trade and transport, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting and noise outside. Our space is usually a bit cluttered with wood samples, catalogs, and rolls of drawings. We aren't the type of place with a fancy showroom and bright lights. We prefer to spend our time actually working on the designs and talking to the craftsmen. Most of our work involves figuring out how to make a space look better or work more efficiently. We don't use a lot of interior design jargon. We just talk about what is practical and what fits the budget. Sometimes we are out at a dusty construction site all day, and other times we are here at the desk. It’s a small operation, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. We’ve gotten to know the people at the Panchyat across the street quite well. It’s a busy, working-class neighborhood and we fit right in. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure we don't miss any details. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
