Yashodhan Fashion Academy Beauty Parlour

We have been running the place here at Chakan G-2 for quite a while now. It's a mix of a beauty parlour and a fashion academy. Most days it’s pretty busy with people coming in for haircuts or just to learn how to do things themselves. We started small because we saw a lot of girls in the area wanted to learn some skills but didn't know where to go. So, we set up this spot. It’s not fancy, just a practical space where we teach stitching and makeup. Sometimes the machines act up or we run out of thread, but we manage. People like that they can come here and just be themselves. It’s hard work keeping up with all the students and the clients at the same time. We usually start early in the morning. The academy part takes up a lot of the front room. We try to keep things organized but with so much fabric and kits around, it gets a bit messy sometimes. That's just how it is when you're working. Our neighbors know us well. We’ve seen many students go on to start their own little shops after finishing here. It makes the long days feel worth it. If you walk past G-2, you’ll probably hear the sewing machines or see someone getting their hair done. It’s just a normal local business trying to help out and provide a service to the community around Chakan.
