It’s usually pretty quiet around here in Mandar Society until the students start showing up in the afternoon. We’ve been at this spot in Parvati for a while now. Most days just involve sitting down at the big tables and going over school books. You can hear the traffic from the main road sometimes but mostly it’s just the sound of pens scratching on paper. We deal with school kids and some older college ones too. The room gets a bit warm in the summer afternoons, but we keep the fans going. It’s not a big fancy office or anything, just a regular space where work gets done. People usually find us easily enough because the society is well known in this part of Pune. We’ve got the 411009 pincode so we’re right in the middle of things. Sometimes the parents wait outside on the porch or just drop the kids off and head back to work. It’s a simple setup. We keep the books stacked up in the corner and try to keep things organized but there is always a bit of a mess with all the notes and practice papers lying around. That’s just how it goes when you’re studying hard. No one really minds. We’ve seen a lot of faces come through these doors over the years. It feels like a part of the neighborhood now. We don't really have any big signs or posters, just our name out front so people know they're in the right place.
