Woman The Salon

Woman The Salon sits over at Shop No -16 in Ashok Sankul Phase -2, right on Range Hill Road in Pune. It’s quite close to the E-Square Multiplex, so the area gets a lot of traffic and noise. The salon is a small part of this big complex. Most mornings, we start by checking the stock and seeing if we have enough of everything for the day. The chairs are comfortable enough, though one of them has a bit of a squeak when you turn it too fast. We get a lot of light through the front, which is nice until the Pune heat really starts to kick in. Since we are in Range Hills, we see a lot of familiar faces from the nearby buildings. It’s the kind of place where people stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need anything done that day. The shelves are filled with bottles and jars, some of which have been there for a bit. We don't have a big receptionist desk or anything. Usually, someone just looks up from what they are doing when the door opens. Sometimes the smell of popcorn from the theater area drifts over when the wind is right. It’s just a normal workplace for us where we spend most of our hours. We don’t try to be anything other than a local shop where things are simple and the work gets done steadily.
