Wellknown Mens Salon

Wellknown Mens Salon is located at Survey Number 1375 in Sadashiv Peth. If you know Pune, you know that Sadashiv Peth is one of those areas where the streets are narrow and always full of people. We are right by the Chimnya Ganapati Chowk, which is a major landmark around here. The salon itself isn't huge. We have the standard barber chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. There are mirrors on both sides and those jars of blue liquid for the combs. It smells like a mix of shaving cream and hair products most of the time. The floor is covered in tiles that we have to sweep every twenty minutes because of the hair. It gets really busy on Saturday mornings when everyone wants to look decent for the weekend. We have a small bench for people to sit and wait, and there are usually some old newspapers or magazines lying around to pass the time. The light inside is a bit bright, but it helps with the work. The staff here has been cutting hair for a long time, so they know the regulars by name. It’s a loud place sometimes with the television running in the corner or the guys talking about local news. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop where people come to get a trim and chat for a bit. There is no air conditioning, just the big ceiling fans.
