Our workshop is tucked away right behind Chandani Dhaba, near the flyover in Wd Budruk. It is a bit of a strange spot to find if you aren't familiar with this part of town, but the dhaba is a good landmark for everyone. We make furniture here at Survey Number 58. It is mostly stuff for regular homes, like wooden beds and sofas. We have a lot of fabric rolls and thick foam stacked up in the corners of the room. It gets quite dusty inside with all the sanding and cutting going on all day. The flyover nearby means there is always a constant hum of traffic in the background while we work. We’ve been at this location for a while now. It is a practical space, not really built for showing off to visitors. We spend our days measuring wood and stapling fabric onto frames. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit around or use our manual tools, which really slows down the progress. We aren't trying to be some high-end designer brand. We just make furniture that people can actually afford and use in their own houses. Some of the guys here are really skilled with their hands and can build a whole cabinet just by looking at a small sketch. We don't have a fancy office, just a small wooden desk where we keep our bills.
