Delonix Plant Nursery

We spend most of our time out here in Charholi, right near Alankapuram. It's a busy spot on the Pune Alandi Road, but inside the nursery, things stay pretty quiet most mornings. We started Delonix Plant Nursery because we liked being around green things more than sitting in an office all day. It gets hot out here in Wadmukhwadi, so we are always busy watering something or checking on the saplings. People stop by when they are heading down the road, usually looking for something for their balcony or a small garden. We don't have fancy displays or anything. It's just rows of pots, dirt, and whatever is in season at the moment. Some days the humidity is high, and other days the dust from the road blows in, but that’s just how it goes when you work with plants. We keep the place simple. If you need a specific tree or just some flowers to brighten up a corner, we probably have it tucked away somewhere. My hands are usually covered in soil, so if you come by and I don't shake hands, you know why. We just try to keep the plants alive and healthy so they do well when they get to your house. It isn't a complicated business, just a lot of digging and waiting for things to grow. We've been at this location for a while now and know the local soil pretty well. We hope the plants we grow here bring a bit of life to the homes in Pune.
