Vitthumai Farmers Producer Companylimited

We started Vitthumai Farmers Producer Companylimited over here in Yadalapur. It’s mostly just us folks from the Mantha area trying to handle things ourselves. Gopal Janardhan Maral helped get the space sorted at his place. We work out of Jalna. Farming is tough, you know? Dealing with the market and the weather takes a lot out of a person. So a few of us decided to team up. It makes it easier to get what we need for the crops like fertilizer or better seeds. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a spot where we meet up to talk about the seeds and how the harvest is looking this season. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it's supposed to, so we sit around and figure out what to do next. Being in a small place like Jalna means everyone knows everyone. We try to keep things simple and honest. We aren't big city businessmen. We just grow what we can and try to make sure we get a fair shake at the end of the day. Most days you'll find someone hanging around Gopal’s place if you need to talk. It’s been a slow process getting it all running, but we are getting there bit by bit. That’s how it goes when you’re working the land. You just take it one day at a time and hope for the best. We aren't perfect but we try.
