Down here near Bhosari Tutorial High School 300, things stay pretty busy from early morning. We’re an engineering outfit, so there’s always the sound of metal being turned or a drill going somewhere in the back. It’s not a quiet place to work, that’s for sure. Most of us have been working with machines since we were kids, so the grease under the fingernails is just part of the look now. Being near the school means we see the kids walking by every day while we’re unloading steel or checking on a part. We handle a lot of auto components, mostly the bits and pieces that go into larger machines that people don't really think about. If you came into the shop, you’d see tools scattered on the benches and a few half-finished projects sitting around. We aren't big on paperwork or long meetings, we’d much rather be out there fixing a lathe or checking a measurement. Sometimes the rain leaks a little through the roof when it’s heavy, and we have to move the crates around, but we manage. It’s a practical kind of life. We’ve got some regular customers who have been coming to us for years because they know we don't try to talk them into things they don't need. We just look at the part, see if it can be made, and then we get to it. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied throughout the week.
