Vishvjay Agro Producer Company Limited is run by Prashant Prakash Sontakke over at S.No. 151 in Takali (B). It’s a quiet spot, and most of the time you’ll just find us working in the fields nearby. We are a small group of farmers who decided that we were better off working together than competing against each other. Takali is a small place and we all face the same problems with the weather and the pests. We meet at Prashant’s place, usually in the late afternoon when it’s a bit cooler. We don't have an office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just sit on some chairs outside and go over what we need for the next month. Some of us have been farming for forty years and some are just starting out. We try to share what we know. The paperwork for the company is a bit of a headache, honestly. None of us really like sitting at a desk. We’d much rather be out with the crops. But we know we have to do it to get the benefits and keep the business legal. We are just trying to make sure the work we do in the fields actually puts food on our own tables too. It’s a simple life, and we aren't looking to become millionaires. We just want to be treated fairly and keep our farms running for the next generation.
