Vijay Mens Parlor

Vijay Mens Parlor is located at 519 Ganj Peth, which is near Hanuman Mandal. We have been in this spot for quite a while now and have become part of the neighborhood. It’s a small place, typical for this crowded part of Pune. We have about three chairs for customers and a small area for people to wait while we finish up. We do shaves, haircuts, and the occasional head massage for those who are tired. Most of our customers are men from the surrounding streets who have been coming here since they were young boys. The atmosphere is very casual and we don't follow many formal rules. We talk about local politics, the latest cricket matches, or just how hot the weather is. The shop isn't very modern; we still have the older style of wooden cabinets and mirrors. But it works perfectly for us and our customers don't seem to mind the lack of fancy decor. We keep the razors sharp and the towels as clean as we can every day. It’s a busy area with a lot of foot traffic near the mandal, especially during festival times. Sometimes it gets quite loud outside with the traffic, but we are used to it and just keep working. My brother and I handle the daily operations ourselves. We aren't looking to expand or move, we just like running our local shop. It’s a simple way to earn a living and we talk to different people daily.
