Our place, Viab Foods And Bakes Llp, is over in Bhelkenagar. We are based out of Flat E-304 in the Shantdham building, which is at S.No 139/A. It’s more of a residential vibe around here than a commercial one. This means we have to be a bit quieter so we don't bother the neighbors too much. Baking is what we do mostly. The smell of bread and cakes usually fills up the hallway, which some people like and some probably don't. It’s a small operation. We started this because we liked the idea of having a business in this part of Pune. It’s not a huge factory; it’s just a few ovens and some tables where we do all the packing. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack boxes in the corner. Managing a business from a flat has its own set of challenges, like getting deliveries up the stairs or making sure the electricity can handle all the machines. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. Sometimes the flour isn't right or the yeast is slow, and we just have to figure it out. It’s a lot of manual work, getting your hands messy and staying on your feet for hours. We are just regular people trying to make a decent living doing something we know how to do. There is always a lot of cleaning to do at the end of every shift.
