You can find Venkatshwara Fly Ash Brick near the Ganesh Mandir at Survey No-40. It’s a quiet enough spot, and we like being so close to the temple. Sometimes you can hear the bells ringing in the early morning while we are starting up the machines for the day. We focus on fly ash bricks here. It's a different process than the old clay ones, but we’ve gotten the hang of it over the years. The yard is usually quite busy with the mixing and moving of materials. We don't have a big fancy entrance or any neon signs. Just a simple gate and a lot of grey bricks stacked up high in neat rows. The people working here have been part of the team for a long time. We treat each other like neighbors because we mostly live just a few streets away. We don't have any polished scripts or sales talk for when a customer walks in. We just show them what we have ready and explain how long it took to make. Survey No-40 is our little corner of the world. We spend a lot of time out in the sun, making sure everything is drying correctly and the quality is okay. It’s a lot of manual labor, and your hands get pretty rough after a few years of doing this work. But it’s good to see the bricks being used to build new things in the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
