Siporex

Out here in the Pune district, we’ve been part of Siporex for a long time. People around Maharashtra know us because of the stuff we make, but we’re just a bunch of workers doing our jobs in the 412203 area. The facility is big and it can get pretty dusty with all the materials we handle every day. It is not the kind of place you’d come for a tour unless you really like seeing how things are manufactured. We wake up early to beat the traffic because Pune has gotten so crowded lately. Even out here in the district, the roads can be a mess. We mostly focus on getting the slabs and blocks ready and making sure they get loaded onto the trucks correctly. There isn't much time for standing around talking, though we do have our tea breaks where we catch up on local news. The air out here is a bit clearer than in the city center, which is a small perk of the job. We have people who have been working here for twenty years and some new kids who are still learning how things work. It is a steady rhythm that keeps the place going. We don’t bother with big slogans or anything. We just make the product and hope the rain stays away long enough for the drying. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
