Vdmc Sanjivani Agro Producer Company Limited

We are based at Dattatraya Vithalrao Mali’s place, over in Sambhaji Nagar. The house number is 120, 22/777. It’s a residential area, so we try to keep things quiet, but there’s always someone coming by to talk about the company. Vdmc Sanjivani is a producer company we set up to help the farmers around here. Sambhaji Nagar is a good spot for us because it’s easy for people to find. We don’t have a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s just a room with some tables and chairs and a lot of paper. We spend our afternoons talking about crop yields and what the weather is going to do next month. Most of us have known Dattatraya for years, so it felt natural to start the business at his place. It’s a grassroots kind of thing. We are just trying to organize the local producers so we can get a fair deal. Some days it’s just one or two people stopping by, and other days the whole room is full. It’s a bit unorganized at times, but we are learning as we go. We don’t use any big words or fancy strategies. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to make the best of it. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the ground. We hope to stay here for a long time.
