Our office is on the 100 Feet Road in Erandwane. It's a good spot, easy to find. We do placement work. That means we find jobs for people and people for jobs. It sounds simple but it’s a lot of talking. I spend most of my day interviewing candidates. Some are very nervous, so I try to make them feel okay. We have a small waiting area with a few old magazines. Erandwane is quite a busy place these days. Lots of shops and offices nearby. We’ve been here for a while. We aren't like those big agencies that treat you like a number. We know most of the people who come in. We keep their resumes in big folders. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing. Other days it’s quiet and we just organize the files. We don't promise anything we can't do. If there’s no job, we tell them. It’s better to be honest. My wife helps with the accounts sometimes. We have a small fan that makes a lot of noise. It’s just a regular local business. We like it here. The 100 Feet Road has everything you need close by. We just try to help folks find a way to earn a living. It’s not always easy but it is rewarding when someone gets hired. We stay open late sometimes if a candidate can only meet after their current job ends. We just sit there with the lights on until they arrive.
