Vandana Gift Articles is located at G/49, which is quite near the MIDC area in Shahunagar, Chinchwad East. Being so close to the industrial zone means we get a lot of people stopping by on their way home from work. The shop itself isn't very large, but we try to cram in as many different items as we can on the shelves. You’ll find things like photo frames, small statues, and other bits and pieces that people like to give as presents. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, and the floor has a few tiles that probably need fixing soon, but it serves the purpose. We don't have a big team or fancy uniforms here. It's mostly just us handling the customers and dusting off the items every morning. Sometimes the dust from the MIDC roads blows in when the door is open, so cleaning is a never-ending task. We’ve been in Chinchwad East for a good while, so we know many of the faces that walk through the door. We don't really have a big strategy; we just see what people like and try to keep those things in the shop. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the festivals come around and everyone is looking for something last minute. We just do our thing and hope the shop stays steady for another few years to come at least.
