Vamas Beauty Parlour

Vamas Beauty Parlour is located in Chandan Nagar. It’s a local neighborhood shop through and through. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves in our own community. The shop is on a street that gets a fair amount of foot traffic. We aren't a big name, just a place where you can get your hair done or get a facial without much fuss. Most of our customers live within walking distance. We know most of them by their first names and know about their kids and their jobs. It’s that kind of place. Inside, it’s pretty basic. We have the essential chairs and a small waiting area with some old magazines. We don't change the decor much. It feels like home to us. The hours are long, but we don't mind. We open up early and stay until the last customer is finished. Sometimes we share tea with the regulars while they wait. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, not like those hurried shops in the big malls. We use simple products that have been around for years. Nothing too experimental. We just do what we know how to do well. It’s a small life but a good one. Chandan Nagar is a nice place to have a business like this. We usually have the door propped open to let some air in when the weather is nice for us.
