We are Uttara Impex, and you can find us at Uttara House on 2 Wellesly Road. Having our own named building makes it a bit easier for people to locate us when they’re coming by for the first time. Wellesly Road is a fairly busy stretch, so there is always a bit of life right outside our doors. Inside, we keep things pretty quiet and focused on the day-to-day work of international trade. Moving goods across borders is rarely as simple as it sounds, so we spend a lot of our time dealing with the small details that others might miss. It’s a lot of checking invoices and talking to shipping agents. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to be reliable for the people we work with. The office is set up for efficiency rather than looking impressive to visitors. We have a few desks, plenty of filing cabinets, and a kettle that’s almost always on. Our staff has been around for a while, so we know how to handle the occasional hiccup in the supply chain without panicking. It’s just regular work for us. Being in this part of town gives us good access to what we need. We don't spend much on marketing because we're usually too busy keeping up with the orders we already have. It’s a honest way to make a living and we enjoy the pace of it.
