Our place is in Erandwane, specifically at number 5. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to some of the bigger industrial hubs, but we stay busy with all the management work we do for exports and imports. We aren't a big corporation; we’re just a small group of people who know how the paperwork and the systems work. The office is pretty simple, with a few desks and a lot of folders. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking regulations and talking to people at the ports or the warehouses. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of attention to detail, so it can get a bit tiring by the end of the day. We’ve been in Erandwane for a while and we like the neighborhood. It’s easy for people to reach us here. We don't do much in terms of marketing; we just focus on the clients we have and make sure their shipments are moving like they should. Sometimes there are hiccups with the documentation, and we have to spend hours sorting it out, but that's just the nature of the job. It’s a steady, everyday kind of business where we just try to be helpful and get the work done right. The office gets a lot of afternoon sun, which makes it a bit warm, so we keep the window open even if the street noise comes in. We’ve got a small plant in the corner that we sometimes forget to water, but it's still hanging on.
