Allianz Trading Company

Allianz Trading Company has our spot at F 12 Pl 13 in Vidya Nagar. It's a simple setup we’ve had for a good while now. Vidya Nagar is a decent place to work, though it gets quite dusty when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We focus on trading different goods, whatever people are asking for really. There isn't any big philosophy behind it; we just buy things and sell them where they need to go. My brother handles the ledger and I talk to the people coming in and out. Sometimes the office feels a bit small when we have visitors, but we make do with what we have and keep things moving. We don't use any of those big corporate strategies you hear about on the news. It’s mostly just common sense and knowing who to call when a shipment is running late. The desk in the corner is always covered in folders and old receipts that we need to sort through eventually. We’ve got a small window that looks out onto the street, so we see everyone passing by while we work. It's a bit of a routine, but we like it that way. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just trying to keep the business running and the bills paid. Most of our clients are people we’ve known for years, so it feels more like talking to friends than doing business. We just take things one day at a time here at the office.
