We’ve been here at the Iqra Building in New Modikhana for a while now. The Camp area in Pune is always busy, so finding the place can be a bit of a trick if you don't know the local landmarks. Being near the Muslim Bank helps people find us. Inside the building, on the sixth floor, things are usually a bit quieter than the street below. We have desks set up and some old chairs that have seen better days but still do the job. The walls are mostly white, and we keep some stacks of papers and registers near the entrance. Most days start early here. We unlock the heavy door and get the fans going because it gets stuffy in the afternoons. Students trickle in from different parts of the city. You can hear the traffic from the main road if the windows are open, which they usually are to get some air. It’s a plain space, nothing fancy. We spend a lot of time just sitting at the desks, looking over schedules or talking to parents who stop by. The hallway gets crowded between sessions when everyone is trying to leave or enter at the same time. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the desk gets buried under notebooks. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy with classes every day. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood, the tea stall nearby, and the way the light comes into the room during the late afternoon.
