Unik Beauty Parlour

You can find us right on Mandai Road in Shukrawar Peth. It’s a busy part of Pune, especially with the market nearby. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough space for a few chairs and all our supplies. We've been here for a good number of years now. Most of the ladies who come in are from the neighborhood. They stop by while they are out doing their shopping at Mandai. We do all the usual stuff like hair cutting and threading. Sometimes it gets really crowded on weekends and people have to wait a bit on the bench outside. We try to keep things clean, but with hair and powder everywhere, it’s a constant job to sweep up. It’s just a few of us working here. We talk a lot while we work, mostly about what’s happening in the city or family stuff. It’s a friendly place. We don't have fancy lights or those big posters you see in malls. It’s just a local parlour where you can get your work done without paying too much. Sometimes we run out of a certain color or a specific brand of cream, but we just make do or get more from the shop down the street. It’s a simple life running a parlour in such a busy area. We like the noise and the people coming and going. It keeps the day moving along fast for us.
