You can find us at Appa Balwant Chowk, right on Tilak Road in the Gurudatta Sahavasa building. I'm Umesh Desai and I’ve been working out of this office for a good long time. It’s a crowded area, so parking is always a bit of a headache for everyone. Inside, it’s a mess of catalogs, fabric swatches, and rolled-up plans. We do both the outside structure and the inside finishes here. Most days involve me sitting with a client and trying to figure out where they want the plugs or how big the windows should be. It’s simple work but it takes a lot of patience. We aren't a big firm with secretaries and glass walls. It’s just a regular office at number 470 where we do our drafting. Sometimes we go out to the sites to see if the builders are following the plans properly. It’s a lot of back and forth. People know us in this neighborhood because we’ve been here so long. We handle small flats and bigger houses too. It doesn't matter much to us as long as the work is interesting. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. Sometimes we miss a lunch break because of a meeting, but that’s just how it goes. The shelves are overflowing with samples of laminate and tiles that we haven't sorted out in months.
