D O Nikam Architect & Interior Designer

My office is at 201 Bajirao Road. It's an old street with a lot of history and I’ve been working as an architect and interior designer here for years. My name is D O Nikam. The space is small but it’s got everything I need, like my drafting table and a few computers for the 3D stuff. I spend most of my time either here or out on some construction site getting dusty. People come to me when they want to renovate their old places or start something new from the ground up. I don't use any fancy sales talk. We just look at the budget and what can actually be done with the walls. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes things go wrong at the site, so I have to go down and fix it. The traffic on Bajirao Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so I usually stay late to finish my drawings. I’ve lived around here most of my life so I know the buildings well. It’s a one-man show mostly, with some help for the big drawings. I like keeping things simple and clear for the clients. No one needs more confusion when they are building a house. My desk is usually covered in pencil shavings and old erasers because I still like drawing by hand sometimes.
